This blog is created for those who have a great interest in diplomacy, or maybe just look for some basic understanding about what diplomacy is.
“Diplomacy and Beyond” is the name of this blog. The name is to reflect the characteristics of diplomacy as a social phenomenon, which transforms itself as society changes. In other words, diplomacy now is different from diplomacy years or centuries ago. Moreover, diplomacy is remainingly understood as a “traditional diplomacy” per se, where diplomacy is merely “an exclusive jurisdiction” of diplomats and their routines in the embassies. To some extent, diplomacy is also seen as a community of “elites”
“Diplomacy and Beyond” will invite you to explore diplomacy beyond its traditional conceptualization and you will see how diplomacy has changed nowadays. In addition, this blog will also unveil diplomacy in the digital age.
